The Islamic Dream

The Birds “short story”

We were dreaming that we are a bird; in the colour of the sky; as big as no cage can contain it; swimming in a throne of clear white silky clouds. Drops of water gently touch his face before they fall down and change into rotten mud; inhabited by thousands of dirty creatures that eat the rubbish and the remnants of some birds that were deceived by the solid surface of the mud and thought that it is a great land; without cages; without bars.

The Tools Of A Sales Professional

Filed Under Business | Posted on September 30, 2007

THE EYE OPENER
A few years ago I purchased a fifth-year Eichler style house. The home, a 3,400-square-foot pink colored dwelling, it was my ideal home. It needed many repairs alone with different color paint but, I was up for the task. For years I viewed hundreds of episodes of THIS OLD HOUSE and HOME and GARDEN TV. I printed instructions for my intended projects from Web sites. I went out and purchased all the hi-tech tools needed for these jobs. A Skill saw, table saw, sander, router, and more. I had only problem — I had no clue how to make these tools work to create the ideas I had designed in my head but, lacked the tools/skills to bring them to life. I grew up a city boy with all the trappings that come with city life and they did not included carpentry, pluming nor electrical skills. So in keeping with my training I enrolled in my local community college in a basic home building/repair class. The first thing out of the instructor’s mouth was, “You must understand the tool before you swing it or turn it on. If it’s misused or used in the wrong manner you can get hurt or killed.” Now the tools of a salesperson, if used in the wrong manner, may not hurt or kill, but if used improperly, they could cause the loss of a deal and maybe your job. If the tools are used correctly, no finer dwelling could be constructed. What are the ten tools/skills and which sales tool do you need a little work on?

Carriage House Garage Doors - The Look Without The Cost

Filed Under Home Improvement | Posted on September 30, 2007

Gaining in popularity is the carriage-house look in garage doors. If you are not familiar with this new up scaling of the garage door you may find the idea strange. But take a drive around some of the up scale neighborhoods and ‘pay attention’ to those garage doors. Look at the plain unadorned ones and then look at a few of the up scaled ones. Perhaps they have strap hinges, decorative handles, clavos nails or period hardware to compliment the house. Now go back and drive past the houses with the plain garage doors and use a little imagination. Would they upgrade the house with a little extra attention to detail? What would a little extra attention to detail do to ‘your’ garage door?

Use Garage Floor Tiles To Update Your Garage

Filed Under Home Improvement | Posted on September 29, 2007

Whether you’re looking for a cleaner floor or an attractive look, garage floor tiles will update your home while protecting the floor from grease, oil, and dirt. Garage tiles are easy to install, even when you want a patterned look, and easy to clean. You’ll love how your garage looks when you install floor tiles in it.

Your garage may have the dirtiest floor in the house. Not only do you park your car there, but you may also keep your lawnmower, cans of oil or antifreeze, pool chemicals, and lawn tools in the garage. The floor also endures the most abuse of any in your home. Heavy vehicles drive across the floor, dirt accumulates, and chemicals can leak out onto the concrete. Your garage floor handles a lot of abuse daily, probably more than you’ve ever thought about.

Recently CNN interviewed an owner of the free laptop website. They confirmed a website was not another scam but the real deal. Although only available to USA residents, the website does give away laptops for free, or almost.

So how does the whole “Get a Free Laptop” system work? It’s actually very simple.
Once you’re at their website, you have to choose a laptop you want and fill out the e-mail address field. Next you will have an option of filling out a quick short 1 page survey. This step is optional.
